Our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Statement
The Neighborhood Cooperative staff is committed to helping children to develop a sense of confidence in their personal and social identities, and to helping children to identify and respect their individual similarities and differences. Teachers work with children to teach them to stand up for themselves and for others in the face of bias and injustice. The school has a robust library of Children’s Literature that promotes Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The Neighborhood Cooperative approach aligns with the National Association for the Education of Young Children’s anti-bias education policy.
