Leadership Team (Consists of a minimum of three Directors, and various Committee Chairs)

  • Oversee Neighborhood Cooperative Operations

  • Advice on program improvements and modifications

  • Oversee committees as necessary

  • Assist with Strategic Planning

  • Assist with Spring Social

  • Attend monthly LT meetings

Class Representative

  • Create and maintain class parent helping schedule

  • Act as a liaison between the administration and the classroom parents

  • Work directly with the classroom teacher to fulfill classroom needs, including planning for class celebrations

Strategic Planning Committee

  • Our ongoing strategic plan has been used to set goals and priorities and has helped to ensure that the needs of our community are being met.

  • Analyze our school's strengths and needs on an ongoing basis

  • Help us to think ahead and plan for the future

Neighborhood Events Committee

  • Coordinate events for the Neighborhood community (both family and parent events) including parent coffees, social gatherings, the Fall and Spring Social

  • Create new opportunities for the community to meet and expand community connections

Town Day Committee

  • Help plan for and organize the Town Day booth for the Neighborhood Cooperative

  • Town Day is typically the first Saturday in June

Sunshine & Community Outreach Committee

  • Assist in planning annual community giving. Examples include can drives, pajama drives, and donations to the Woburn Council of Social Concern

  • Organize Neighborhood presence at various community events including the ENKA fair parade

School Improvement and Playground Committee

  • Assist in school improvement initiatives

  • Assist in maintaining facility indoors and outdoors

  • Help maintain playground gardens and flower pots

Literacy Committee

  • Organize the Book Fairs throughout the year

  • Maintain the school Library and update the book database

  • Audit school books and seek books that represent the school and the community

  • Communicate with teachers to help with book needs

  • Liaison between Neighborhood Coop and Winchester Library and Book Ends

  • Work with Curriculum Enrichment Committee to bring in an author to the classrooms

Marketing/Technology

  • Working with the Director to create and maintain content for NCNS social platforms and school website

  • IT support

  • Help create marketing content and materials for committee and school events

  • Generate new ideas to help promote our school and our philosophy
